Clive HatchClive Hatch is a political commentator and opinionist. He is a former Member and Leader of the Opposition in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature.

After matriculating from Jeppe High School for Boys in 1967 Clive Hatch has lived, worked and been involved in the Emalahleni (Witbank) community.

He had thirty years service in the finance division at one of the Province’s largest corporate companies. He held several senior positions in the company having held the position of Company Treasurer when he left to enter a career in politics.

Clive served on the Witbank City Council, then he was elected to the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature serving for ten years, eight of them as Leader of the Opposition.

Clive is a past president of the Witbank Chamber of Commerce and Industry, he was previously President of the Witbank Jaycees and in 1987 was president of Jaycee South Africa. He is currently a trustee of the Witbank Moth Retirement Village.

In 2012 he launched the Clive Hatch Scholarship to assist disadvantaged boys to get an education.
